Before You Buy — Required Pre-Purchase Questions
You must be able to answer the following before completing a purchase. These determine your eligibility and the appropriate license tier.
1. Usage Intent
- What is the beat being used for? (Song release, commercial, film, podcast, content, etc.)
- Is this for an independent release or through a label, publisher, or distributor?
2. Distribution Scale
- What platforms will the content be distributed on? (Spotify, YouTube, TikTok, Apple Music, sync placements, etc.)
- What is your projected stream/download volume?
3. Monetization
- Will the content be monetized — ads, sync placements, merchandise tied to the track, or paid distribution?
- Is this for a paid commercial project or a free/promotional release?
4. Rights & Credits
- Do you require exclusivity, or is a non-exclusive lease acceptable?
- Are you prepared to credit the producer and comply with producer tag requirements?
- Will you be registering the work with a PRO (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC)?
5. Sync Usage
- Do you intend to use this beat in any film, TV, commercial, streaming series, video game, or other audiovisual context?
- Note: 100% of all sync royalties (master + composition) are retained exclusively by the Producer. This is non-negotiable and cannot be modified by any lease or license tier.
6. Timeline
- What is your release date or project deadline?
- Do you have a hard delivery requirement?
